Rental/Retail Assistant - Part Time

About the role
The role involves assisting the team in dealing with the day to day running of the store.
We expect staff to be engaging with customers for both rentals and retail purchases. Primarily you will find yourself assisting customers with rentals, this involves sizing, safety briefings, providing route information and ensuring that our customers have a great experience with us from start to finish. Other times you may find yourself selling and advising on bike or accessory purchases, and each day will end with cleaning and the safety check on bikes ready for the fleet to roll out again the following morning.
There will be a daily element of the role that will be office based, helping with emails, information on the website and communicating with customers and suppliers as well as merchandising displayed control.
This is a seasonal, part-time role, primarily focused around our busy weekends.
During peak season and holiday periods there will likely be scope for additional days work during the week.
About you
You will have a genuine interest in bikes and some practical experience of them, but this is not essential to the role.
You need to be efficient and motivated with a 'work hard’ attitude and strive maintain an organised and relaxed environment for our clients.
A commitment to delivering great customer experience through both your manner and your actions is essential.
Skills/Experience Required
- Enthusiasm for all things bikes! Reasonable cycling knowledge of the local area would be beneficial
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills
- Friendly and professional manner and a strong team player
- Flexible working attitude, particularly in our peak season when hours may be longer
- Self motivation, a can-do attitude, and the ability to take the initiative will be central to your role
Salary Range
£15k to £22k (pro-rata) dependent on age and experience.
